An explosion targeting a vehicle passing through the Gwadar Expressway killed 3, including two children, and 4 others wounded, the police said.
Liaqat Shahwani, Spokesperson of the Balochistan Government, along with SSP Farhan Zahid confirmed that it was a suicide blast.
According to police, a vehicle carrying construction workers was targeted near Gwadar (East Bay) Expressway in the Baloch Ward area of the district. Most of the workers in the vehicle remained unhurt and one sustained minor injuries.
However, the bombing killed three local people including 2 children, the police said. Four other locals were wounded.
The dead and the injured were evacuated to the district hospital.
In a tweet, Shahwani said the two children were playing nearby when they fell prey to the bombing.
Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry said that this terror attack is “just another expression of the game of sabotage” against the economic vision of the “great leadership” of China and Pakistan.
“Our enemy cannot undermine our resolve. We will spare no effort to bring culprits to justice,” Fawad Hussain.
